The benefits of resveratrol
Resveratrol, a polyphenol in red wine, one of the ingredients in Glamour Nutrition’s
ANTI-AGE has been reported as having anti aging and properties. It is mostly consumed as a nutritional supplement, and its mechanism of action has been researched by many scientific studies.
Some recent data provide interesting insights into the effect of this compound on the lifespan. Displaying the potential of resveratrol as an anti-aging agent and a strong anti-inflammatory product. Of course healthy diet and lifestyle is strongly recommended in prevention of such conditions. Most recent studies recommend the use of resveratrol in the prevention and treatment of diseases that afflict humans, particularly as they age.
Resveratrol as a supplement, also shares a lot of other beneficial effects. Such as reducing the occurrence of osteoporosis, more over beneficially influencing fat cell production (in favor of long-term fat loss) and modulating blood pressure; usually a reduction of blood pressure.
According to a 2012 Canadian study, resveratrol supplementation could provide similar skeletal muscle benefits as endurance training. In addition the study, conducted over a 12-week period on rats, found that resveratrol supplementation also resulted in an increase of endurance, oxidative metabolism, and enhanced cardiac function. Furthermore, the combination of endurance training with resveratrol supplementation resulted in a performance increase of 21%.
